The remapping tool is basically x360ce on steroids, and you have settings for linearity, deadzone, anti-deadzone, scaling, mapping buttons to axes, axes to buttons, multiple devices (wheel, shifter, pedals) etc to a single virtual xinput device.

If you have a Logitech DFGT wheel like I do (nice and old), you don't need to do anything except install the VigEm drivers (see readme) and then run with "wheel2xinput.exe examples/dfgt-hotshot.json" before running the game. YOU WILL NEED TO INSTALL VIGEM DRIVERS AND (POTENTIALLY) EDIT examples/dfgt-hotshot.json Posting here because I enjoy this game and have a configuration already created for this game.
